HMAS mission is dedicated to promoting and enhancing the lives and well-being of an individual by providing high quality therapy and behaviour support enabling people to live the lives they want. We utilise a person-centred approach to support each individual to live in the community as independently as possible. Healthy Minds uses evidence-based methods to support clients to assist the person to meet their individual goals.

HMAS Psychologists and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioners work closely with our participants, their families and support network to provide therapy and behaviour support to develop individualised strategies to reduce behaviours of concern and allow you to live your best life. Healthy Minds Positive Behaviour Support Services provide specialised therapeutic services for people with behaviours of concern or people with a disability who are subject to restrictive interventions.
Health Minds Practitioners are NDIS Registered to provide Specialist Behaviour Support intervention and a Behaviour Management Plan (including training in behaviour management strategies) and therapy support (psychologist) under Improved daily living – (Assessment, Recommendation, Therapy And / Or Training (Incl. AT) – Psychology.
All our Psychologists and Specialist Behaviour Support Practitioners have the required qualification expertise and registrations necessary to provide therapy and Positive Behaviour Support for Plan-managed, self-managed and NDIA managements participants.

Our trained and registered Practitioners will meet with you and other important people in your life such as family and allied health professionals. We will aim to understand you and your environment. We will assess behaviours and triggers. We will identify desired behaviour. We will devise strategies that promote positive reinforcement. We will work with you to reduce the use of restrictive interventions. We work from a person-centred approach and assure that you are consulted about any recommended changes to your life.
